Prime Timers

Bob & Marida Watlington

Bob is the Senior Adults/Prime Timers' Ministry Leader for our family at Meadow View.

It is the prayer and desire of your Shepherds and Ministry Leaders that the Prime Timers ministry provide you the opportunities to achieve a closer walk with our Master and serve others in the process. The Senior Adults/Prime Timers are encouraged to mentor the younger Christians and thus produce fruit for future generations.

We have around 170 members at Meadow View that are over age 55 that we call our Prime Timers.

  • Each month we meet on the first Monday for a potluck luncheon. We recognize our guests and members who have a birthday during the month. We try to alternate spiritual and/or entertaining programs.

  • The 2nd Thursday of each month we go over to Arlington to the printing facility of Mission Printing to help with preparing tracks for shipping to places like South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, the Philippines and others. They ship 750,000 tracks at a time. These tracks cover over 70 different sound Biblical topics by over 30 different authors. Check out the track rack in the foyer by the front windows.

  • The 3rd Monday of each month our 9 member Steering Committee meets to plan each month's activities.

  • About once a month, we take a trip "just for fun".
  •   "The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."

    Psalm 92:12 - 15
